The registry
Every company here is built the same way: an engineer who loves the product, me on everything commercial. Operated, not just owned. None of them for sale.

Simple Analytics
Web analytics that respects the people being measured. The numbers businesses actually need: visitors, referrers, pages, conversions. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no personal data collected at all.
It exists because the standard tooling made a bad trade on everyone's behalf: invasive tracking in exchange for dashboards nobody reads. Simple Analytics proves the trade was never necessary. Thousands of businesses use it to stay compliant by default. No consent banner required, because there's nothing to consent to.
It's also the reference implementation of the whole thesis: bootstrapped, profitable, privacy-first, built by a tiny team that answers only to its customers.

03INTAKE SPECIFICATION
What I look for
Two ways into this registry: team up with me and build something new, or sell me a small software business that deserves a permanent home. Not a private-equity flip with extra steps.
Profitable, or one honest decision away from it. Real customers paying real money for something they'd miss.
Small and comprehensible. A product one careful team can hold in its head. I'm not assembling a conglomerate; I'm keeping good tools alive.
Aligned on privacy. If the business model is quietly reselling user data, I'm the wrong buyer, and I'd rather tell you that in the first email.
Founders who care where it lands. The best sellers aren't maximizing price; they're maximizing the odds their product still exists in ten years.
Growth stories without margins. I can't hold something forever if it loses money forever.
Businesses built on a single platform's goodwill. If one policy change at a company I don't control can end it, it isn't durable. It's rented.
Anything requiring a turnaround miracle. I do maintenance, not resurrection.
Auction processes. I move carefully and pay fair prices. If you want a bidding war, I'll politely leave the room.
For engineers
Most of this registry wasn't bought. It was built, every time with an engineer who'd rather ship than write cold emails. If that's you and you've built something people should pay for, talk to me. You build, I sell. That's the whole deal.
